“Nova” is another self-initiated personal project that I've written, designed and animated.
It’s a 3D short film about a future where scientists are able to create artificial, self-sufficient, miniature suns.
These are used as limitless energy sources. However, if we’re able to create artificial suns, why not use them to create new constellations and paint the night sky with stars..

There's a short montage, showing the various interface scenes without any distortions, etc., available here:

Creating an artificial sun on earth is not all science fiction. While it has seemed an impossible goal for nearly 100 years, scientists now believe that they are on the brink of cracking one of the biggest problems in physics by harnessing the power of nuclear fusion, the reaction that burns at the heart of the sun.
In fact, the European experimental facility “JET” has already done it, but only for a couple of seconds. The scientists still try to reach ignition: the point at which the reaction becomes self-sustaining, just like the sun. So far, only one man-made device has ever achieved that, and it happens to be the hydrogen bomb.
Experts believe that achieving fusion ignition is the first step towards the potentially limitless energy source that is nuclear fusion. In other words, miniature suns could be the future of renewable energy. The need for a new energy source has never been more pressing. Global energy demand is expected to double by 2050, while the share coming from fossil fuels – currently 85% – needs to drop dramatically if we are to reduce carbon emissions and limit global warming.
